My Stories

At the moment I have no Stories Published, but when I do I will display them here!

I am currently writing a historical fiction book and have many other ideas for stories; children's books and young adult novels.

I am also working on illustrations for my first children's book illustration job! I will display it here when it is published!

. . .

So for now, I would like to display a parable that I wrote (which inspired the name of my business); as well as a comic that I wrote and illustrated (it can also be found in my "Illustrations" section).

Parable:

I Wrote this Parable in 2017, 10th grade, for my schools writer's conference. We we allowed to submit an illustration to go with our parable, so I submitted this lighthouse painting (right). I spent a long time trying to think of what to write, but nothing felt right, so I prayed about it and the idea came to me; a lighthouse keeper. Both parable and painting ended up winning first place!

This is what inspired "Lighthouse & Lilacs".

"The Guiding Light"
By: Chloie Jensen

Upon a hill, where the cormorants made their nests and the waves fell from the wind’s demanding blows, stood a brilliant lighthouse. It was the pinnacle of the small town around it, for its beautifully crafted architecture was strong and stately. Yet, sadly, it stood unfinished; it had no guiding light, nor any stories of saving the lost. It fulfilled no purpose.

One day, a carpenter, named Mr.Warden, came upon the small town. He was intrigued at the lighthouse with no light and formed a plan, which he took to the town’s council. Mr.Warden proposed that he would complete and restore the lighthouse as long as he could reside there. To this, they agreed and were much obliged, so he got to work right away. The town’s people were very excited and many offered help and supplies, but all the while the carpenter did not cease until the light was burning brightly out into the darkness.

Just as the lighthouse was completed, Mr.Warden noticed storm clouds rolling in. Everyone began preparing, and just as the sun set behind a layer of clouds, the rain began to pour, lightning flashed, and the thunder roared . That night, as Mr.Warden looked out upon the storm, he saw something crash onto the beach. He rushed out to find a man, woman, and child climbing from a small boat! Mr.Warden hurried them all into his small house, and they could not have been more grateful, for the family had been out fishing and got caught in the storm, but because of the light from the lighthouse they were saved.

For years to come, many stories were told of saved lives and hope for the lost, and all were grateful to that wonderful carpenter who gave light to shine in the darkness.
